More About the Foyes Corner Community Festival
The Foyes Corner Community Festival is now in its third year and we are looking to bring the whole community together. Our previous events in 2008 and 2009 saw almost 6000 people coming together to celebrate the best of Foyes Corner and Southampton.
Join us this year for the biggest Festival yet when local talent will be displaying performances of dance, theatre, music and comedy. All of this will be topped off with some of the finest foods from around the World that Foyes has to offer.
If this is not enough, local arts and crafts stalls can be enjoyed along with inflatables and games offering fun for all the family.
Our focus of the day is to support community cohesion and to highlight the many excellent activities that are available in the area for the whole community. Activities on the day are varied including children's games, climbing walls, ballroom dancing and ball pits along with live performances of dance, theatre, music and comedy.
The Festival site will be set out on the huge 8 acre playing field behind St Marks Primary school, just off of Shirley Road, Freemantle, Southampton, UK.
This is a great free event for families, couples and all members of the community.
We would like to say a big thank you to all the contributors and volunteers in 2008-2009!
